Wedding Pricing

I offer two main wedding packages but since every event I do is bespoke and customisable everything here can be tailored just for you. So, whatever your idea of a perfect ceremony is, simply get in touch for a chat.

Wedding Package one - From £750

Any number of guests, on any day.

A Celebrant led ceremony is a perfect choice for you if you would love your day to be uniquely yours, without either the restrictions of a standard Church service or the identikit scripts provided by the Registrars.

The heart of your wedding day, and what makes it a wedding and not just a great party, is your ceremony, and it doesn’t have to be boring or stuffy and definitely not something to endure before the fun. It can be as traditional or quirky as you want, so together let’s make your ceremony happy, fun, beautiful, meaningful and so totally amazing that the two of you and your family and friends will treasure it and talk about it for years.

Created with your story at it’s heart, your ceremony will be full of special moments, laughter and love.

It can be simple, traditional, themed or over the top epic.

You can choose your perfect location, be it a woodland glade, a beach, on a boat, in a marquee, in a field or barn, in the grounds of a country house, inside that country house or in your own home or garden. The possibilities are endless, let your imagination free.

You can choose the time of day, you can involve your children, include your family pets and write your own vows, choose to include your favourite music and readings, a prayer, blessing, or poems, and you can include extra rituals such as a hand fasting or a sand ceremony as well as the traditional exchanging of rings.

We will spend time getting to know each other, and you can tell me your plans and ideas for your special day so that I can create your amazing, unique ceremony.

Is a Celebrant led ceremony legal?

Not currently, although as I write, that is under review by the Law Commission.

The legal part can be as simple as a no-frills marriage at the Register office, known as a 2+2. It’s just the two of you plus your two witnesses and the Registrars.

It will take place in their office and involves you both making a declaration that you are free to marry and a contract of marriage with each other, when you say “I will”, and then you all sign the marriage schedule.

You can do this any time before or after your wedding ceremony.

Your wedding ceremony can then be the ceremony of your dreams. You can invite your family and friends to wherever you want your ceremony to be and this is where you can say your vows, exchange rings and include everything else that you want to include to make it yours

Wedding Package Two - £650

For 2-20 guests, Monday to Thursday.

Sometimes called a Micro, or Petite, Wedding, this is a package designed for a smaller wedding with fewer guests. By choosing to limit the number of guests you invite, you can have a more relaxed and intimate wedding ceremony.

There may be many factors influencing your choice, including any of these, or something else:

You may have a limited budget.
A desire to use the money you would have spent on a large and lavish wedding on something else instead, like a deposit for a house or travelling.
A wish to spend your budget on a smaller destination wedding
avoiding the stress of organising a large wedding.
Avoiding the pressure from family and friends to have a wedding that is not your dream.
Perhaps you live overseas and can’t easily fulfil the required residency for giving notice.
You are waiting for a divorce to be finalised but want to make a commitment now.
You are unable to book a slot with the registrar but want to have your ceremony as soon as possible.
Your legal marriage, whether recent or several years ago, didn’t feel special enough and you want to create a different memory.
You just don’t feel that a big wedding is for you.

Whatever your reason, it’s ultimately your personal choice. If you feel that a smaller wedding with less planning stress, a limited amount of decisions to make, and a price fixed in advance is for you, then we need to talk.

Although the price shown below is for small weddings between Monday and Thursday, they are still available Friday to Sunday at a slightly higher cost of £700.

Micro Wedding:

a guest list of 2 to 20 people
available Monday to Thursday only
a simplified consultation process
a special and unique Petite ceremony
a fixed fee, currently £650.00 plus mileage
You would still be resposible for booking your venue, and key suppliers like a photographer, florist, cake as well as any celebration after the ceremony.
If you wished to include an optional extra such as a mini ritual, like a handfasting, sand ceremony or unity candle, there would be an additional charge of £40.00 per ritual, plus equipment costs if I buy them for you.

Special Ceremony Elements

You may wish to include some special elements in your ceremony to further help in making your ceremony unique and special to you. It can give you the opportunity to involve your friends and family in the most important part of your wedding day. Here are some popular ones.

Order of Ceremony

Varies

This keepsake document can be presented to all of your guests and will provide a lasting memory for you and all who shared the day with you. I will create it with you and the design and content will be individual to your ceremony.

Pricing varies according to the level of design and the number of copies required.

First Kiss, Last Kiss

Free

This ceremony option involves the mothers of the Bride and the Groom. They are called upon to join the Bride and Groom towards the end of the ceremony. The mothers gave their children there first kiss when they came into the world and they will give their last kiss as single individuals before sending them on their new journey as husband / wife / life partner.

Wine Ceremony
Quaich or Loving Cup Ceremony

From £65

In this Ceremony, the couple can pour red and white wine into a two- handled loving cup to create a blush, the first drink that they will share together. The cup can be passed around enabling all the guests to drink to the couple’s future lives together. Mead and cider or Whisky and water can also be used.

Rose Ceremony

From £35

In the Rose Ceremony, the couple can choose to present roses to their mothers as a way of showing appreciation for the love, care and support that they have received from them. It is a very touching and moving gesture.

Parchment Signing and Witness Ceremony

From £75

This ceremony involves the couple and their chosen witnesses. Each in turn sign the beautiful keepsake parchment which is then presented to the couple, as part of their ceremony.

I will commission a beautiful parchment, reflecting the style and colours of your wedding. A great opportunity to invite all your guests to gather around to witness the signings.

Breaking the Glass Ceremony

From £75

The Breaking of the Glass Ceremony is traditionally used at Jewish weddings but has become more popular with all couples. Two champagne flutes are safely placed within a cloth bag prior to being stamped on and smashed. This dramatically signals the end of the formal ceremony and the start of the celebrations.

I will commission a beautiful cloth bag, reflecting the style and colours of your wedding and supply the champagne flutes.

Unity Sand Ceremony

From £75

The ceremony symbolises the joining of the couple and is ideal for any wedding. This ceremony is especially relevant when families with step-children are coming together or where the couple are looking for a way to involve their children in the ceremony itself.

A glass bottle is filled with different layers of coloured sand, each colour represents a person, creating one family from many individuals.

I can source a wide array of different coloured sand and beautiful bottles and containers to make a wonderful unique keepsake.

Hand Fasting Ceremony

From £85

A hand fasting is an old Pagan custom that dates back to the time of the ancient Celts. In this beautiful ceremony, the hands are tied together with ribbons, lace or braid, in the shape of the infinity symbol, thus symbolising the bringing together of the two hearts in a marriage of strength and unity forever.

This ritual enables family members and close friends to share in the ceremony by wrapping the ribbons or giving their good wishes to the couple as they ‘tie the knot.’

I will supply ribbons, lace and braid, a keepsake bag for the tied ribbons with a small signed and dated parchment inside, and give suggestions for readings and wishes.

Unity Candle Ceremony

From £75

Ring Warming Ceremony

From £35

When the guests are seated and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bride, the wedding rings, tied to a little pillow, will be passed around them. They will hold them for a few moments and send beautiful thoughts, prayers and good wishes into the rings, until they are returned ‘warmed’ by all the loving attention. This is a beautiful way to include everyone and creates a happy and moving start to a wedding ceremony.

I will commission the making of a beautiful little pillow that suits the colour and style of your wedding.

Jumping the Broom Ceremony

From £85

The Broom Jumping Ceremony is based upon a tradition that symbolises the clearing away of negativity with a sweep of the broom and creating a threshold for the couple to cross over into their new life together.

I supply a hand-made besom broom which can be decorated in the colours and the flowers of the ceremony.
